Bands like Trouble Funk, Chuck, EU & RE have a Greatest Hits collection of their own music, which can rival mainstream artists. They thrived off of having their sound be the sound every other artist or band wanted or envied. This would in turn have the rival bands step up & push the envelope! What happened to this?

Remember back in the day when someone would be playing a tape, and if it was RE, Trouble, EU, Ayre Rayde, Redds & The Boys etc., you would know who it was just based on the sound of that particular band. Today you can't tell one band from another, because most of the bands are playing cover tunes. In my opinion these are not GoGo bands, but top 40's bands with heavier/GoGo percussion.
