"ill Bill"/Trinidad Bill who played rototoms and timbales(and sat in) w so many bands(NW youngins, BYB, Hi-P, Raw Dimensions, Publicity, Low profile, Master groovers, Illegal property, TCB. he'll fire yo timbales up...den roll out!! His energy for gogo was unmatched when he got on set, slim ...he set fire to dem rototoms and skin't da timbales- (he had da bigboyes {big bands} scared to give em some {solo} time). plus he had fun and pass the craft to the youngins, he developed a lot of the dudes playing right now(youngins like kirkie, mikey mike, thump, kareem, lul lovey, pep, clarence, keon...if he was alive he'd be rich off bounce beat...it would be too ez for him He knew every responsibility in a band...and he taught it!! all 4 when u get on set...u won't in his words "bam out on stage"...he was the star of the show. Old School GoGo Staff Hey, now you know we cannot forget about Chuck Brown's closest friends, the producer James Purdie, he was the producer of the God father of GO-GO Chuck Brown's first GO-GO album "Bustin Loose". James passed away in 2008 or 2009 not sure which year and I do know he was very ill during the years before because I use to work at a nursing home where he was staying and even then, he was blind in both eyes and he knew allot about music and was one of the best Producers out of DC. Rest in Peacee Mr. James Purdie......You are one of the first founders of Go-Go which the first album was a hit and went nation-wide throuugh out the U S. You are truly a piece of GO-GO History.... and will be missed as well..... MUCH LOVE PEACE & SOUL to MR. JP...... Earl known as Denny of S E Washington DC R.I.P. James Purdie!
